Dear dancers and families,

I am delighted to write to you inviting your dancer to be part of a Ceili Team for this years World Irish Dancing Championships in Greensboro NC.
We are hoping we can assemble 5 teams in total to go this year and this is dependent on whether or not all spaces in teams can be suitably filled.
I would ask that you look over the invitation document attached. It is informative and as brief as I could make it. I would appreciate your prompt response via email reply. If you have any questions, please ask me directly as I will likely have the most accurate information.

When is this “Worlds Championships”?

Competition Days: Sunday - April 14th through Sunday - April 21st (8 days in total)

Worlds Daily Schedule for OID teams:

U13 Girls: Monday April 15th
U16 Girls: Thursday April 18th
U16 Mixed: Thursday April 18th
U19 Girls: Saturday April 20th
O19 Ladies: Sunday April 21st

How much are these Competitions?

  • Solo Dancing Championships 80 Euro
  • Team Dancing Championships per dancer 25 Euro
  • Family Admission Fee 60 Euro
  • Family Maximum Entry Fee (does not include admission fee) 250 Euro

Entry Fees are due no later than Jan 31st 2019

All Worlds entries are submitted by the TCRG (teacher) . Your entry fee amount plus family admission fee will be billed to the appropriate students on OID’s Studio Director account & must be paid by Jan 31st.

Training/Class Times/Attendance:

All TEAM dancers participating in Worlds will need to be enrolled in Worlds Ceili Class in SD for March/April. The cost of the class will be $100 in total for all practices. Complete attendance at all practices is required.
